Found this on Alexa from the Tasty website! It's loaded with sugar and really good (of course)
This is crazy good. And besides the whipping - it is easy to make and oh my god it is tasty. Be careful, it serves at least four - more like 6.
Ingredients
• 6 egg whites
• 1 ¾ cups baker's sugar
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• ⅓ cup sugar
• For garnish: plums, raspberries, and strawberries
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F
2. In a large bowl, whip egg whites until stiff peaks form. If doing this by hand, it takes a while. Get an electric mixer for god's sake!
3. In a small bowl, combine the baker’s sugar and cornstarch and mix well.
4. Gradually add sugar into the egg whites. Once the egg whites form a stiff peak with a sheen gloss, set aside.
5. Spread egg whites on to 2 parchment-covered baking sheets. Create three 8-inch round meringues and try to keep the tops flat. It will pay off in the end!
6. Bake for 1 hour. Then turn the oven off and let the meringue cakes sit in the hot oven for another two hours until the oven is cool.
7. Whip the heavy cream and sugar together until the cream is set.
8. Carefully place each layer of meringue down, then top with cream and berries. Repeat for all three layers. It's crazy tall and super good.
9. Cut it into slices, expect it to not stay in shape, but enjoy!
